EUROPEAN ACROBATIC CHAMPIONSHIPS 2025

**European Championships 2025**

The European Championships took place in Luxembourg over the past two weeks, an event that is held only once every two years.

Spelthorne was proud to have four partnerships selected to represent Great Britain on this prestigious stage.

In the first week, our talented Men’s Group, Henry, Joseph, Morris, and Lucas competed in the Youth (12–18) category. Performing with incredible energy and charisma, they wowed the crowd with their dynamic routines.

This was the boys’ first appearance on the international stage, and they rose to the occasion spectacularly, taking home the gold medal and earning the title of European Champions.

The second week saw our Junior acrobats travel alongside the rest of the Great Britain Junior and Senior teams to Luxembourg.

Our elegant Mixed Pair, Harry and Emily, delivered five outstanding routines across the competition. Their poise and grace lit up the floor, earning them silver medals in the overall competition, as well as in the Balance and Dynamic finals.

Adding these achievements to their Age Group World Championship medals from last year, Harry and Emily are now British, European, and World medallists.

Spelthorne’s newly formed powerhouse Women’s Pair, Abi and Evie, brought the competition to another level. Their choreography was exceptional, and they matched it with technical brilliance. They were in top form, storming to victory in both the overall competition and the Dynamic final, making them double European Champions.

Not to be outshone, our Junior Women’s Group of Gemma, Lexie, and Sophie, delivered yet another standout performance. These girls have consistently found success at every major competition they’ve entered, and this was no exception.

Performing with unrivalled height, flair, and stunning choreography, they were a sight to behold. It’s no surprise they are returning home as double European Champions, with gold medals in the overall competition and the Dynamic final. They too can now proudly claim to be British, European, and World medallists.

With all Spelthorne partnerships scoring 28.00 or higher in nearly every routine, it’s no wonder they contributed to over half of Great Britain’s medal tally, making Spelthorne the only club to produce European Champions!

A huge congratulations goes out to all the gymnasts, their families, and the entire GB team.

A special thank you to the incredible Spelthorne coaching staff for their tireless dedication in developing these athletes, and especially to our Head Coach, Adam, and our inspiring choreographer, Ellie. Together, they have created an environment where athletes can thrive and achieve excellence on the world stage.
