Octobers’ gymnast of the month is no trick but a treat! She is a relatively new member to Spelthorne Gymnastics Club and has also only been tumbling around 18 months, but already has impressed her coaches with her technique and tumbling ability.
The young gymnast competed for the first time this year at National level.. after storming through qualifications rounds this gymnast went on to compete in the finals. Her first year at national level and a bronze medal! Just setting a precedence of what we will see from her in the future!
The gymnast coaches chose for October was Arwenna Harvey. Previously training at RGA she made the decision to follow her coaches and transfer to Spelthorne Gymnastics.
Since making the decision to move clubs, Arwenna has worked very hard and has had some tumbling hurdles.. however she is now using the new equipment to conquer her fears. She’s now able to comfortably perform moves & combinations she previously had only ever attempted in a rig.
We are sure the progress will continue and the journey throughout the national tumbling levels will be a strong and successful one.
