I don’t think our gymnasts and coaches have had a weekend off so far this year?! Another competition last weekend, this time taking our younger acrobats to L&G to compete their routines.
Just like our elite squads the number of partnerships we have in grade and prep squads attending competitions is forever growing! We had just short of 50 gymnasts grace the floor, and that they did sweeping up plenty of medals.
Partnerships all of ages and across all categories competed on the Sunday, for some they are just getting used to the world of competition, competing for the second time this year – although it wasn’t noticeable.. our youngest and newer partnerships impresses the judges to gain medals.
The routines, leotards, smiles and polished routines made Spelthorne stand proud in the hall. 16 medals in total and trophies for high scores too!! We are looking forward to seeing how some of these gymnasts fare in Portugal too.. surely more medals and smiles to be brought back? 🙂
So on to the results:
Thea and Kiera – Silver
Jessie and Maisie – Gold
Layla, Gracie and Taylor – Silver
Emma, Isabel and Aimee – Gold
Ruby and Amy – Gold and a special mention to them both who also achieved the highest score of the morning in their category … well done girls!! 🙂
The afternoon was filled with yet more medals:
