It barely feels like 5 minutes, since the last time we were doing “gymnast of the month”, but already it is time for November’s gymnast!
The gymnast chosen for November is someone who has been a part of Spelthorne Gymnastics for many years. Starting as a very shy pre-schooler, working her way up through the mini squads to the junior squad. Leah a very talented and dedicated gymnast achieved much whilst still very young, not only in minis but in competitions with the junior squad.
Maturing as a gymnast and beaming with confidence – “a real role model to other gymnasts”. Leah took a brief break from gymnastics to try other sports however recently returned to regain fitness and flexibility and of course her passion for the sport. Leah is currently training in the teen group twice a week, however misses the thrill of competition and squad training so would like to progress further. She is a pleasure to teach, always giving 100%. Her eagerness to do well shows in lessons and her kind nature towards other gymnasts is lovely to see.
It is always hard to decide on a gymnast, as since the summer term many gymnasts have come on leaps and bounds, not only in their gymnastic ability, but with their confidence and understanding of discipline too.
Leah is 11 years old and has spent a lot of time since childhood at the gym. We are very happy she has the passion for the sport and is wanting to improve. With the dedication shown from Leah we are sure she will continue to progress.
Congratulations Leah for being chosen as “November’s Gymnast of the month”.
Good luck in the upcoming Christmas displays, and also a very Happy 12th Birthday, for next week! ????
xoxo
